Brushed Cotton Bed Sheets

Do you think they shrink either in the wash or tumble dryer.

I have brushed cotton bedding, never had any issues with shrinking.

I've never known bed sheets to shrink to the point of noticing ever?

yes I have one on at the mo but it is short in depth so I am ordering another one and am wanting a good depth.  I have measured so will get a proper one.

I have those type of sheets. Fitted king size. No they have not shrunk either in the wash or the tumble dryer. The washing machine is not set for a very hot wash though.

My OH tends to buy king size even though we have a standard double, not much difference in price, but much more to tuck in. Should there be a slight shinkage then no problem.

yes I have bought king size as you say but they didn't fit snugly

You have to remember in these hard times, the makers will try and get away with making smaller sizes, smaller = more profit. They are not accountable to a particular size in any law. At least i don't think so.

In my experience these bed sizes seem to have a large tolerance. I have a king sized bed and a king sized mattress and I still have to ensure the gap is at the foot end if I don't want the pillows falling into a gap.

 

BTW I've never noticed any shrinking of brushed cotton, or for that matter, any other, sheet. They wear thin over time though.
