We have just bought an diamond wheel electric tile cutter. We have tried everything twice!! Checked and double checked the instructions but we still cannot cut a tile in half without the very last bit to go through "shearing" leaving a sticky out bit at the corner of the cut and an indented bit at the other corner of the cut tile. What are we doing wrong? We have runined about a dozen tiles already. We urgently need some help.

Make a small cut at the other end first, then turn the tile around and cut as normal.
