Exterior House Insulation
My daughter has had her house wrapped with 16 cm foam insulation. Could someone kindly point me to a video or article describing how to attach to the outside such things as a wireless doorbell, housenumbers and so on and the equipment required to do the job (special screws etc. for heavier items such as a nameplate). Maybe one of the manufacturers of the insulation explains this but I have been unable to find anything. Many thanks in advance.

Steve... if the insulation is covered with sand & cement expanded metal reinforced render, then finished with 'Crépis', the render should hold small fittings Ok. Nameplate and doorbell camera should be alright.
Ordinary rawlplug and screws, with some good quality grab adhesive to be sure.
If not, or the finish is a really thin coat, then there really is nothing for it but to use something like 220mm long screws to get a fixing right into the masonry.
These tend to be 8mm thick, so there maybe some drilling out needed of the fixing holes in the nameplate etc. It may not be very pretty 🤔

Unless you need to hold something really heavy, I would go for this..................
Drill a 25mm hole through the finish and the insulation, right back to the masonry underneath.
Hammer and glue a 160mm long piece of 25mm timber dowel into the hole.
Fix whatever to that with ordinary stainless steel woodscrews.
