Bought a wee table - looked nice but when I assembled it - you could see 4 silver screws on top of the table  which are not a big deal but you can also the slip in things which makes the table ugly.

I was thinking of doyleys but they would be temporary, then I thought about a big wee bit of fablon - you know that sticky tape thing but that could be a bit dear.  

Any other ideas I could try - white paint would be too obvious.  thank you

I have covered our kitchen table with an off cut of lino. Carpet shops usually be able to give/sell you a small piece if you ask.

How about Contact Paper. Here we can buy just the amount we need from a roll
