I just use my shower on narrow setting, and wrap a pumice stone in my flannel.

Karcher are good, but don't buy the cheapest. We bought one at black friday time on Amazon ..think it was about £340, but it's a good one, 5 yr guarantee, adjustable pressure. We're very pleased with it

Lots of general advice from Which?...

Karcher and Nilfisk are the best performers. I've had a Nilfisk for donkeys' years and it's never let me down.

We have a karcher K7.....sounds like the one described above. It's very good...

K7 = £439 does that sound about right?

It depends what you need it for...I have a Karcher HDS 6/10 high temperature unit...it will output 30 BAR  at 80 deg C. I had it to wash the boats out after a wakeboard session as the guys always walk seagull poo off the jettys onto the carpets etc.

What do you want to use it for? We had a Karcher, K6 I think, which we used for washiong the car and the patio. It was very good but the hose is very stiff/rigid making it awkward to use and wind up - ours had a winder built into the body. We tried a battery-powered one which is fine for the car and OK for the patio - not as good as the Karcher but myuch more usable. We gave the Karcher to our daughter who passed her cheaper Karcher on to one of her sons. The battery ones use your garden hose only (no pressure hose from the motor to the jet) so are much easier to handle but, obviosly, not as powerful.

Thanks all I went with this one from the GW list.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XRWS76H

It's £117.50 inc postage on eBay.

That's the one we have and it's very good

I hate it when Mr T gets the Karcher out of the garage. He spends ages swooshing things and leaves a mess all over the windows!

He reminds me of the Manneken Pis.

Is this too risqué for AB?

Shocking , Toorak! 😲

🙈🙈🙈

At least a Karcher doesn't wake you when it gets out of bed at 3 to pee...

When I first got my Karcher I managed to get it to burst; it was replaced free of charge. I happened again with the replacement. Then I was asked if |I had a stop-end on my hosepipe - yes. Apparently the stop-end allows a shock wave to run back from the mechical trigger to the pressure pump and wreck it. The message is don't use a hosepipe with a stop-end to feed it.

I have a £90 Bosch from Robert Dyas. I am not a big user but is does my patio and drive well. I am very happy with it.

10:42 yeah I just bought the Bosch above for £102. Chico's gardners world linked to Amazon but they were a bit dearer. I always look for other sources before actually buying so I went to Ebay, got discount for buying via nectar!
