When the Lettuce and Richy were appointed by the Tory cabal we didn't have an election.

The courts are gonna be quite busy. Do these people not realise that the money can be talken direct from their earnings?

Coming from you I'll take that as a badge of honour.

DRM PMs are never elected by the people.

I think i may have mentioned before that i was against the Poll Tax and joined marches, refused to pay, etc. Apperared in court so many times that i ended up paying more on fines and costs than the actuall tax.

And, the more you earn, the more they take out of your weekly wage. I stopped doing overtime until bosses wife agreed to 'hide' it.

We run a parlimentary democracy, we elect the party and the party elects the leader.

^

Though the leader is usually chosen before a GE so the country knows who they are voting to be PM.

We elect a leader? The problem being the cons didnt have a leader. :0)

I can only imagine the howls on this forum if Starmer were to stand down and be replaced by Angela Rayner and when she resigned after a couple of months that Ed Miliband took over.

whaere does it say we elect the leader nicebloke

Though the leader is usually chosen before a GE so the country knows who they are voting to be PM.

But there wasn't a GE so the party needs to elect a replacement

// if Starmer were to stand down and be replaced by Angela Rayner and when she resigned after a couple of months that Ed Miliband took over.//

At least it would then be certain that the PM is a complete idiot!

We don't elect a Prime Minister, but voters are aware of who the leaders of the main political parties when casting their vote.

and aware that they can be changed....

Question Author

10:26 well I might howl at their choice but not the process. The party elects the leader of their party. If that party can form a government that leader is also the PM. The only people who vote for the PM are those in the relevant constituency but they are voting for their local MP.

Surprised I have to explain this time and again to people that you'd think would know how it works.

the voters didn't pick Gordon Brown as PM and got rid at the earliest opportunity

We're grateful for your patience, Tora. 🙄
