i bought a gainsborough 10.5kwbc electric shower in oct 04. in march/april 05 it broke and the company replaced it as it was under guarantee. it is now failing again as the water is not getting as warm. we have to turn it right up. is this a common fault, does anyone know how to fix it. am i still covered by 12 mth guarantee as technically i have only had replacement about 10 mth??

Probably furring up with limescale, just like the inside of a kettle. Do you live in a hard water area?

no i dont. would that make a difference. if so how do i sort it

It depends on whether you can still get a reasonable shower from it. Don't forget that in the winter the incoming water is very cold and you will need full power and probably have to slow down the water flow to allow it to compensate and heat up properly.
