electrical problems

Our television keeps switching off onto stanby when we turn an electric switch on in the kitchen or bedroom ie when I switch the computer or the spare television on, the main tv in the lounge turns off . Any ideas? Also, when I open the fridge door and the interior light comes on, or when I use the ignition on the oven this causes interferance on the spare tv in the dining area, lastly, the light at the top of the stairs occasionally blinks off for a few seconds or when turned off will blink on for a few seconds intermitantly, the bulb and flex were both replaced to try and remedy this but to no avail.

A new trip box has been fitted but none of these occurances have caused a trip.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing these problems ?( as far as we know we're not haunted ! )

This sounds very much like you have a loose connection somewhere. Who fitted the new box???? Get it checked out by an electrician before it gets worse and causes a fire or kills someone.
