We have stainless steel appliances in our kitchen and I've found nothing works better than baby oil and kitchen towel, you only need use a small amount each time and it really makes them shine.

scouring cream will do the trick

Bar keepers friend to clean steel, and a couple of drops of baby oil to finish surface.
