Potterton boiler

Please can anyone help.

My father has a Potterton Kingfisher cl boiler and the pressure switch keeps switching off the boiler but when we remove the front cover the pressure switch releases and the boiler fires up. I need to contact a boiler fitter but would like to know the possible problem to prevent being ripped off. Many thanks.

You shouldn't really be messing about with it, get a CORGI registered fitter to deal with it.

I am without heating at mo and i have a potterton kingfisher boiler that keeps switching of my plumber has tested everything and the fault showed up on the air switch dont no cost yet been fixed thursday but part should be no more than �75 but try get a plumber recomended to you as the first one i had (both been corgi reg) tried to condem my 3yr old boiler said it was the wrong flue potterton said he was wrong so not all corgi reg are good

Thank you for advise, will most certaianly get a corgi reg to carry out repairs and tests .But I have had a boiler fitted by a corgi guy which was totally fitted incorrectly and un safe he charged twice the price so people need to do their home work on getting the right person.
