you need to clean the cords.

Someone mentioned cleaning the cords. Do I try and vacuum up in the headrail, wipe the cords coming out of the headrail, what? What about spraying up in the headrail some WD40?

I'm not an expert on Vertical blinds astleford, but thought the link might help you.
