broken iron

help. I have to iron my clothes for work tomorow and my iron is not getting warm or hot just stone cold. th light comes on so its not the fuse, any ideas? or is it creased clothes tomorow and a trip to get new one for me :O(

You could either put them in the tumble drier for a bit or when you have a shower have them in the bathroom with you..not in the shower of course .lol.

I dont have a shower nor tumble drier :O( will hair straighteners do the trick?

If you have an electric hob you could heat the iron on there for now. Probably the element or thermostat has failed.

thanks, but gas hob!! grrrr. may have to wear jeans to work until I get new iron. Just not worthwhile getting them mended

You can use the gas hob.... have a very low light though, move the iron over the heat to distribute the heat, just watch you dont set fire to the lead ,,,, wear something that doesnt need to much ironing- no jeans or youl be there all night!

Can you drape them over a hot radiator?
