what is the best type of washing line to buy apart from a rotary for a small garden? infact, is there anything else you can get except rotarys?

You fix the unit to a wall with masonery screws then fix a hook to a point somewhere else in the garden, mine is on a fence post. When you want to use it you just pull the line out from the unit and take it to the hook, (the other end locks) When you have finished with it just unhook it and it disappears back into the unit, brilliant idea for a small garden, no rotary washing line in the way. It cost about �12 from B&Q.
We have one like CheekyChops excpt ours is attached to two poles. In my opinion I think they are the best. They pull up high in the garden in summer so washing isn't flapping around you in the garden and they blow around better so drying is quicker. Had a rotary for many years but wouldn't go back to one now.
