painting melamine board

can anyone tell me which is the best paint to use on melamine board and whether or not I need to use an undercoat or primer first? I have a melamine board in my bathroom and would like to paint it but im not sure which type of paint to use. any help is appreciated.

There is a paint out that you can buy its called (I think) ESP = Easy Surface Preparation and its for painting melamine without rubbing down or having to use primer...

Look in your local B&Q. They stock paints labelled as being specifically for Melamine.
