Fences rotting at soil level
2 Answers
Years of digging out my compost heaps into borders means that the bottoms of my fence are now below soil level and starting to rot. They can't easily be raised as some of them have climbing plants growing up trellices which are attached to the fence. Can anybody suggest some suitable long lasting protection - (not bricks which are too thick) which I can insert at the bottom of the fence to prevent further damage. Thanks.
