Fitting a new doorframe>>>>
6 Answers
not on about just an architrave, but taking the whole frame out and putting a new one in.
The question is, where the hell do you buy a complete interior door frame from? I looked in Homebase yesterday on my lunch hour, but couldn't find one - do they sell kits?
Sorry for sounding thick!!!!!

Reason - so many different sizes!. Once you have got the door lining in place, conventionally you then plaster up to the flush edge of the liner. The architrave (top, plus two sides, x2) is then nailed over the joint between lining and plaster edge. Then hang the door, then nail the three strips into the liner that the door closes up against.
