Try ant killer spray or put red chilly powder in the holes that they are coming out from
I read i a mag not long since to pour boiling water down.
Try talcum powder, they don't cross it apparently. Not sure if it has to be a certain fragrance though!
I put Nipon ant powder down outside the perimeter of the house (window cills, door thresholds etc) and it usually stops them, you need to top it up though regularly though.

We regularly have the same problem with ants nesting in the wooden gaps around our patio windows and they come in and invade our carpet. We use Raid aerosol cans - you can get them with a little "straw" attached which injects a poisonous foam into the crevices. You can also use Nippon - a sticky substance. You leave little drops of it around - the ants feed on it and die. The powder is terribly messy and unsatisfactory and you can't really use boiling water inside. I'd go for the Aerosol spray solution. Having said that, ants seems to be remarkably resilient, especially the black flying ant brigade which mysteriously always seem to hatch out from the surrounds of our patio on July 18th or 19th every year and make our lounge look like it'[s under seige from a swarm of locusts ! We've never really solved this problem totally.

Use a fly spray that contains pyrethin I had an ongoing problem and tried loads of remedies but this worked ..
Try a mix of toothpaste and washing up liquid. Squirt it round the nesting hole if you can find it.
