A seller in our local market was selling these, apparently they come from New Zealand, quite attractive to look at, but he didn't know how high thay grow, a friend who lives there had never heard of tham, so I wondered if anyone on this site would know. Thanks.

Thanks spudqueen, from the description, it sounds like the one, the flowers fit perfectly, I was thinking of getting a climber, as for this one, i'll have to have a think. A good link.

It makes me wonder if the market trader has confused the name with another tree native to New Zealand with a similar sounding name, possibly the Kohuhu tree (Pittosporum tenuiffolium) Latin names cane be very usefull at times. This tree in its native habitat can gwow to 100ft (30m) but more likely to be a large shrub in cultivation, if this is the one, it likes a sheltered location and dose well near the coast. It has about 6 cultivars with interesting leaf colour variations including one with red and green leaves on the same tree (popular in flower arrangements)

Hi Thunderbird+, a good thought, but I doubt it, the plants had labels on them that came with them, but as a thought, a possibility, could be, as he knew nothing about them, and therefore, in my book, shouldn't have been selling them, his supplier, just assuming your right, has taken him for a ride, I myself, wouldn't buy anything without finding out about it first, hence the question.
And pic from UK nursery here: http://www.trevenacross.co.uk/shop/page3.htm might be handy to contact if you have queries about growth. Member of the pea family, I gather...
