why might i have woodlice in a new kitchen?

They've come indoors on an exploration trip looking for something to eat and a nice (for them) place to stay.

It may be as simple as Heathfield says, but it may also be worth checking round to see if you have any rotting timbers, which is their usual diet, hope I'm wrong.
