red coloured water form gravel!

i have recenlly put some gravel round the top of my pond and it has coloured the water red! will this go away? how long will it take??

Obviously you didn't rinse the gravel enough probably. My husband says this happened with his pond once. After a week or so the colouring should settle at the bottom of the pond and the water will clear. It didn't harm our fish. The filter in your pond should help.
