Steep stairs

I have a tiny cottage in France which needs finishing off.I need really steep stairs .I have seen one s which have steps which are seperate for each foot.Any ideas where I would buy these in the UK?

Hi Zak, the stairs you are refering to are called I believe, Paddle stairs, I would get onto local joinery manufacturer as I would think they would have to be made to measure,but I could be wrong on that point, but they shouldn't be a problem to obtain, good luck, Ray

I used to know someone who had these stairs up to a loft conversion and I'm pretty sure they were made to measure. Wouldn't fancy going up them if I'd had a few though!
