What with all this rain we've been having, an area of my garden has been flooded. We have a patio, then a thin strip of small gravel running parallel to the edge of it, then a border which leads onto this lawn. It is the patio and gravel that is getting flooded. How can i prevent this happening?

I had a similar problem and laid a drainage channel like the one in the small picture at the bottom of this page. Fortunately, I was able to connect it to the collection "pit" of the drain-pipe from the roof.
