My wife has, and i'm sweating buckets, every so often I have to go into the garden to get some air, (evenings only), I'm not trying to start a sex war here, but I think the female of the species feels the cold much more than the male.

Hi smudge, yep,it was bloody cold in North Wales yesterday evening,but at 5pm yesterday it was lovely and sunny,then wallop temp seemed to drop quickly,

BOO, have you got one of the big slippers as wide as a settee,so everyone can put feet in???

Not only have I got the heating on, I've got a cardy & sox on too! I've even been too cold to go outside & hang washing out, so the tumble dryer's been going all afternoon!

Yes it must be a 'woman' thing Lonnie - my husband's just walked in & said "Jesus, it's like a blinking bake house in here!". ;o}

It has been lashing down here since lunch time and blowing a gale enough to cut you in two.I have just come back from taking Shane out and it is freezing. We walked along the quay and the river was choppy and high.
We have the heating on and I have got my jeans ,boots and long cardi on.I might even find up a hat and scarf if this keeps up.
I feel sorry for folks who are here on holiday ..it must be miserable for them especially with little'uns .
We are supposed to have a couple of nice days at the end of this week but then it looks as if it is going back to more of the same.

i have had my heating on too - my feet are still cold AND in 3 weeks time the nights start drawing in again - how depressing is that ??????????????????

Hi again All - as the sun was out this morning, I donned a t-shirt to go & hang some washing out. Brrrrrr, very cold & windy, so I nipped back in to put a nice warm jumper & sox on!

Worst May I can remember in all of my 58 years! ;o{

Last year I seem to remember switching the heating off on May 1st and we survived. This year it's still on and I'm cursing at all the extra gas we're using. Just can't seem to get warm and I'm looking out in the garden at my poor beans and tomato plants which every day seem to shrink a little smaller with the cool weather. Even taking a hot Horlicks to bed last night couldn't warm me up. And this is supposed to be global warming!

It's really annoying having to have the heating on, using all that gas! I also made myself a Horlicks nearly every night last week, just to warm me before going to bed!

I've been in the garden weeding today, but only with a thick winter jumper on - it's freezing out there!

Let's hope for a 'flaming' June!!!!

mine hasnt gone off yet!!..its too cold...and i may add that my plants are very slow in the greenhouse and in the garden...just think in 20 days time the nights start drawing in again!!

Hi mullien - long time no hear, hope you're well.

I can't even begin to think about the coming winter, although it'll be upon us before we know it! I've always loved wintertime, snow & log fires, etc., but as you get older, the longer dark nights are not so appealing!
