I have built in wardrobes & cupboards - sliding doors - which are almost all sticking. Any way of loosening them off other than replacing the whole lot - I have 14 of them! The doors themselves are in good condition, it is the track that is causing the problem. The house is about 35 years old so they have done well though.

We have the same problem with the stiff track of a 25 year old sliding patio door, and candle wax rubbed over it can help ease it. You can use an ordinary unlit candle, or in your case with the amount of doors you have, melt a candle or two and brush the liquid candle wax over it. Another alternative would be to get a tin of beexwax polish and a soft cloth and rub a generous quantity of the track rails. I'm not sure whether a light coating of oil would also work. You could try one set of doors and see if it's effective. If you have a centrally heated house, it may be that any natural oil which was there originally has long dried out.

Ok thanks, thought of candle wax but not melting it.I also have beeswax somewhere so will give it a go too!
see if you can track down a bottle of Avon skin so soft dry oil spray, you just need a tiny amount for squeaky or sticking door and draws..I know it sounds strange..but true..
i have heard furniture polish is good sprayed on curtain rails, so it may work for that too
