HI Phil,

Are each of your rads thermostatically controlled ? i.e. do they have a knob that controls the heat ratio on each of them to enable rooms you dont use to switch that particular rad off ? If they don't - it sounds like a thermostat problem to me (I work for a boiler repair firm) - how old is your boiler (I take it it is a combi boirler?)

hi roughquest;I have 5 radiators and all have thermostats .The boiler is 6 or 7 years old and has never given any problems until recently;when i had to replace the mode selector switch .

OK, 7 years old isnt that old, what make of boiler is it ? If you have no heat but just hot water it sounds like you need a new thermostat......but I do need to know the make of your boiler. (Yes I am a woman!)
