One thing you could try is bruising the grass leaves first- get a stiff yard broom and really give it a vigorous sweeping and then apply the treatment asap, I'm sure compman's or Clanad's method/s would work eaqally well! Ps, a small amount of deturgent,added to the liquid will act as a "wetting agent" to improve absorbtion.
