I have this fir tree in my garden and last month its leaves started to turn brown from the bottom. Now the whole tree is brown and I was just wondering if it was really dead?

Thanks. Heather xxXXxx

Hi Heather,
I'm afraid, it sounds to me like its dieing, there are 2 or 3 coniffer species that are decidous that may looeely be described as firs, but this would be far too early in the year for them to turn brown anyway.

I imagine it may be suffering from drought, and if its brown all over now then I guess its past reviving.
