When is the best time of year to trim a large, well established laurel hedge ? Thanks in advance.

I bought the one with the longest cutting bar that I could get because of the depth of the hedge and I keep it quite high ( about ten feet ). The garden is huge and is completely surrounded by the hedge so there is no way I could do it with secateurs. Thanks again.
