Pest problem on a large scale - PLEASE HELP
4 Answers
Guys I need help,
I'm convinced I have a beehive somewhere under my floorboards. There are always bees coming either in or out of one of the ventiliation bricks next to my front door. I know that you shouldn't block these up because they can cause damp and also I'm afraid that they'll find another way out...possibly through the house itself.
Is there any way other than full extermination??? Funds are tight. Plus I'm having a real problem with spiders all over the house...and not just one type. Everything from money spiders right up to fully grown Wolf Spiders.
Do these electricity things work that are on the market??? Apparently they send a signal through the whole house and drive away any pests.
Really need a help with this folks...it's driving my girlfriend mad. PLEASE HELP

It won't cost you anything to phone the council for advice. That's the first thing.
Spiders are good - they eat the other pests!
I bought plastic covers to go over my air bricks - they allow the flow of air, but stop wasps and so on getting through. 1.99 each and so far, so good.
Take advice from the council before spending any money.

I agree with everything Ethel has said, except possibly those electyric things, she's right on most of them, but I bought some to clear the house of mice, and they worked, but they were expensive, (you get what you pay for), but I couldn't tell you about Spiders and Bees, personally, like Ethel, I leave the Spiders, most useful creature around.
I looked at a few websites on this problem, and it appears bees are a protected species, and it is illegal to kill them.
If you look at the Brent Council site, for instance, near the bottom of the page, they don't actually offer a service regarding any problem with bees, but point you in the direction of a local beekeeper.
Perhaps it might be best if you did the same. Anyhow, I wish you the best of luck.
