I would like to press a couple of the roses from my wedding bouquet.

Can anyone tell me the best way to do this at home?

Thank you.

OMG - think I better go any get a DIY man in for the week!! Maybe I will just squash them in some books and hope!!
If you haven't had your wedding yet you can arrange for the bouquet to be preserved. It is expensive but looks good.

Here's one example of the sort of thing:

I'm sure I have also seen two of the roses from the bouquet dipped into silver. Of course the rose perishes, but it's form is kept in silver.

Or you could just use a couple of heavy books. Good luck.
my uncle just put the rose in laminator - it flattens and preserves and protects

OK thanks - will try that!
Hia 888sally888! Congratulations on your marriage.

Personally when I press roses I cut them in half first, because they are very chunky flowers. Use a sharp craft knife to slice up the flower from the stem (leaving the stem whole) and cutting off not quite half of the flower away. Then you can press the bigger half so it looks like a complete flower.

I hope this makes sense!
I just put some of my flowers in a Bible, they're still there all in one piece 37 years later!
