Are there any plants which will actually grow in the shade of my next door neighbours' leylandii?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As well as the ones already mentioned any type of primrose ,alchemilia (ladys mantle) bergenia(elephants ears) periwinkle,geranium ,the perrenial and the pelargonium type there are quite a few really just go and look at other gardens where there is a shaded dry area and look what plants do well. It's also handy to look at areas where plants grow well without much soil like crazy paving and up against walls and so on if anything grows well it should grow well in the dry shaded position next to a hedge
