due to dirty central heating water staining my carpet i would like advice on the best way to remove the marking. the carpet is a very light ivory colour - sculptured pattern - made of mostly wool. i would prefer to not use a chemical based product unless really necessary in case this in itself causes staining!

The best chemical free stain remover is white vinegar. It removes almost anything!
What about the smell though? How can you get rid of THAT?

Just wondering as I thought I might give it a try after many parties on my cream carpet!
