flies in the garden

we have had a sudden influx of flies in our garden around the bird table - is there anything i can use to get rid of the flies but continue to feed the birds?

It could be a build up of bird droppings or surplus food thats attracting them. To avoid the spread of diseases, try giving the table a good clean and scrub and maybe experiment by puting a little less food out, if your finding its not all being eaten straight away. Good Luck Tbird+
