Transplanting a False Acacia
1 Answers
We have a False Acacia which we planted some 18 months ago. Unfortunately it is now more over our neighbours garden than ours. We intend to transplant it in the autumn. Has anyone ever transplanted a False Acacia and did it survive O.K. Anything we should do apart from the usual, big hole, compost, fertilizer etc.

Yes, I've planted many tree species, you should'nt have any trouble with this one, the Robinia is a very robust tree.
Prepair the planting hole well and dig in some leaf mould, stake it, water well and it should romp away like no ones buisnes! Good Luck Tbird+
Ps I think keeping it well watered is especially important for the first 2-3 years to get it established!
