Where do I get my kitchen knives sharpened?

Hi all, would anyone know where I can get my kitchen knives re sharpened in the Kent area. They are Henkel knives and have lasted 5 yrs without the need, but now, even with the steel, they need something more professional. Where on earth do I take them? when I was a child the knife man used to come round in his van... :-(

I would try a blacksmiths or a place like a small hardware shop .

Most cobblers and keysmiths sharpen knives and scissors, but you need to be careful carrying them around as they are classed as offensive weapons

I take mine to my local butcher who usually sharpens them without charge...
