We are moving home from north London. There are quite a few pieces of furniture too good to leave behind or dump. I don't really want to go through the hassle of advertising them for sale so I was wondering if anyone knows of a charity in north London that could make use of some furniture. The only condition is they will have to collect.
Thanks .

Speak to your local Councxil - they will either have a collection service for the homeless, or they can put you in touch with one. If they are no help, your local Citizens Advice Bureau will help.
Try Freecycle. Either go to this site :
http://www.freecycle.org/
Or google 'Freecycle.' and get it that way. London has loads of members.

It's a fantastic idea and people who want stuff will always collect.
My local council would simply charge me to take it away!

Salvation Army might be the answer.
Oxfam collect furniture free of charge.

Thank you all for your replies. We have gone for the one recommended by bebo, they are coming to collect next week.

Thanks again.
British Heart Foundation has furniture shops and they collect. Dont know if there is one in your area, but if you ring one of the clothes shops they should be able to tell you. I used to work for them and have also donated furniture which they collected.
