Please help, I'm fed up with waiting for my partner to concrete our back porch floor. The area in question is about 2metres by 1metre. I went mad the other day and smashed up the old floor tiles. I've now got down to a level about 3ins below the original floor and layed a thick waterproof sheet. Now I need to know what tools and what mix of sand and gravel and concrete to use and how to do it.!

This may help. http://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/mixing_co ncrete.htm

As for tools. a shovel, a float , a long piece of wood for levelling and a spirit level should suffice. Good luck.
