Greetings all you plumber types! My bathroom cold tap on the basin is becoming more and more difficult to turn off - why is this? I thank you all!

Do you mean harder to turn, or harder to stop the water coming out?

If the former, it needs a strip down and clean up inside, wire wool or a wire brush.

If the latter, probably just needs a new washer.
