does anyone know what woodworm is?
4 Answers
i have just had a house survey done, although i dont know what the actual written survey says yet. I had the basic survey done which is mainly to satisfy the mortgage lender.
Although they said over the phone that there was a bit of woodworm.
i will defo wait until i actually see the report, but i am just curious in the meantime.

Woodworm can be treated by a specialist company who generally offer 25 - 30 yr guarantee against re-infestation.
Had to to do loft in my previous house - stripped it completely bare of all insuation ( in needed replacing anyway ) and let them get on with it.

thanks very ,much, the house has all been double glaszed apart from one window in teh livingroom, where the owners where putting in a patio door, but just hadnt got round to it.
i think it could be that window frame with the woodworm, which if we took the house would be replaced as patio doors.
thanks for your help though.
