Conflicting reports that we have low pressure (but the water flow is generally good) and being told that that isn't necessarily true and that it could be low or high regardless of the speed coming out of the tap(s).
Have a shower in the 1st floor bathroom which is like a pressure hose!! ( Upstairs shower is electric anyway )

$64,000 question is: Do we bite the bullet and buy new?
should it be something similiar or completely different?

Apparently the couple living here before were given wrong advice about the type needed, but that is only heresay.

Do not wish to pay out yet again, (for repairs etc) if it is only throwing away our money...

Sorry forgot to say that the constant running due to air in system is garbage, when your system is off at night then nothing is running - therefore no sound. Are these people you use real, they should be helping you not giving a load of twaddle ? if it is air remember that you always vent when the system is off. Cheers Hard@it

Looks like these so called "engineers" are, Hard@it. It makes you despair, doesn't it, that they can give all this bullsh!t cos they know that you don't know any different. I don't know the first thing about boilers, and rely on the 'professionals' to guide me. I'd like to just ignore them and not have to use their services but.................
