I have been looking at a house that needs some drainage work doing to it... a structural engineer said

"Drains should be overhauled/renewed as far as the collector chamber at the head of the shared entry."

does anyone have any idea how much the would approximately cost?

Thanks in Advance.

Depending on what exactly needs doing, you could be looking at anything from a few hundred pounds to 10,000. I would ask why a structural engineer would be concerned with drains unless there was evidence of subsidence due to broken pipes washing away the subsoil. If this is not the case, then get a drainage engineer to look, not a cowboy from a drain cleaning company.
