You could buy a product called Rain-X used for car windows, or you could use men's shaving cream (not the gel type). Spread a thin layer over the dry mirror, and wipe lightly when it has completely dried.... Works for me, but it's not a forever, permanent fix. I don't think anything is, but this will last a few weeks at a time...
Hi this works but needs redoing every so often. clean mirror as usual. then on a cloth put washing up liquid neat and wipe all over mirror then buff up with a clean cloth. It works for quite a few weeks. Brenda
I agree with Gef, just open a window. Ours is never closed and we NEVER have this problem, even with teenage girls showering for hours on end!
It also stops the condensation streaming down the walls
I have problems with opening the window for ventilation. Living in a bungalow my bathroom window is overlooked by three neighbouring houses. The bath and shower are under the widow so the blind has to be lowered and if the window is open the blind can be blown around a bit, and with winter approaching it can get a bit draughty around the trossachs!
Anyhow, thank you all - I will try Clanad's and Brenda's suggestions. Zacmaster, your idea I'm sure would work but I don't want to introduce anymore electric work into the bathroom.
