pet cats and leather furniture?
9 Answers
we've ordered our 1st leather sofas.now wondering how moggies are going to be with it.read differing views on pet website.has anyone had any experience? also a week or two after furniture is delivered we are going away for long weekend where cats will have to be kept in and just checked on from time to time by someone for us(not watched most of the day).worried that our pusscats will get bored and use furniture as new climbing frame/scratching post.do think the sofas will survive the weekend?(our downstairs is quite open plan so can't shut room with furniture off)

We used to have two cats and bought a leather sofa because I was fed up with hoovering cat fluff off a fabric covered one and thought it would be easier to clean. The cats took one sniff and ran a mile. Before both cats died, they never once got onto the leather sofa or footstool.

i'm a bit offended gef. i've very devoted to my two lovely pussycats.i'm sure very few people are at home 24/7-365 days of the year.on the rare occasions we go away i always have someone come by regularly to check on them and top up their food and water.cats are quite happy left to their own devices unlike pet dogs.
