Not unless you've bought really cr^p router bits.

They're usually sharp & hard enough to cut many, many worktops.
NO is a simple answer i get an average of 50-60 joints out of my cutters unless you have bought a cheap toytown DIY one. Buy Cheap buy twice my father used to say...
