We have a 18 inch tall Olive bush that came from Lidl a few months ago - it is in an 8 inch pot and is growing like mad - it is about 24 inches across and needs repotting and pruning - are there any special instructions in pruning this bush ?
Is it going to survive our mild winter outdoors or is it even safe to transplant into a sheltered spot in the garden ?

Firstly, with the pruning, cut out any weak shoots and trim to shape in spring, providing no frosts are forcast.

If you are in a mild area (in the UK) and have a sheltered spot, you could chance it outdoors but if in doubt move it into a greenhouse if possible.

It will beniffit from a liquid feed in early spring and again in mid summer. Good Luck. Tbird+
