Hi there,
Any recommendations for where to get good quality paint like dulux or crown at the lowest price? B and q and Homebase etc all seem to be around the same price and neither of them are having 10% off days anytime soon. Booh !

You are better off going to a hardware shop for Dulux as brands like that make slightly different (and therefore cheaper) paint for shops like B+Q and homebase, and it's not as good quality.

A friend of mine was painting a room and the paint wouldnt cover the wall so he returned it to B+Q and was told to buy the same stuff at a hardware store, and he did and it covered the wall!

I bought my last dulux from Wilko's - it was cheaper than B&Q (at that time)

Or hang around one of the stores on a Tuesday, and ask an elderly shopper if they would buy it for you - they get a discount on Tuesdays if they have a store card...

Depends if you want gloss or not.
I am allergic to gloss paint and eventually shelled out a lot for Ecos paint. It is natural paint without all the poisons and cancer/ athsma inducing chemicals. It is more expensive BUT it goes on really easily dries in a couple of hours the brushes rinse in water easily and no foul odour. It is brilliant

I once heard that B& Q make their own paint and put it in Dulux tins under license - don't know if its true or not.

Focus do good deals. Three 5l tins of Dulux for the price of two.

im a painter,a good way is to go to your nearest crown wharehouse and you will get the paint at trade prices wich is cheaper than focus etc.crown in my opinion is the best paint.
