I think bedrooms are lovely done with wooden floors or neutral carpets, white bedlinen and furniture, and then coloured cushions and a throw on the bed.

I recently did mine like this, with pink and blue cushions and a pink throw, but it looks nice with black cushions/throw as well. And it is very easy to alter the colour scheme - just change the accessories!
