Anyone know how to fix / or replace a thermostat valve on a radiator ? If i remove it i will obviously get water every where as i cant see a shot off valve prior to the thermo valve ? ... all others working but this one just seems to have stuck in the off position ... you can adjust it on the "dial 1-5" but it wont come on ... any ideas ?

First try unscrewing the knurled collar below the plastic section of the valve(the bit like a plastic cup). Lift this off and you will see a little brass pin about 1mm in diameter. Tap this VERY GENTLY with a small hammer or some other blunt instrument and hopefully it will pop up a couple of mm's. Screw the plastic bit back on...job done...hopefully. I have to do this to a least one of our radiators every Autumn.
