Aahh! - do they have a word with the vicar when it rains then?
If it's getting wet by accident (though to be honest, I can't really see how unless it's parked nearby and he uses a hose) then really they've got no reason to complain. However, I suppose if he is careless and leaving suds on their car or doing it on purpose, then I suppose they could.
why cant you just ask your son to be more careful, or move the car a little way away before washing it, then they would have no cause to call the police. To be honest, dont do anything to provke them, as they sound mental! Honestly, calling the police because you car gets wet!
Its not a matter of your rights its about behaviour that keeps a harmonious relationship with your neighbours If their car is getting wet and leaving it streaky then I think they are within their rights to ask your son tto be more careful or to wash his car away from theirs. Be careful when taking your child's side in an argument sometimes you perhaps won't have heard the whole story
I think you're onto it Ethel. This is almost certainly not the first instance of disagreement.
Remember that until either you or your neighbour shifts, you are stuck with each other. Would it not make sense to invite them over for a cuppatea and try to iron out your differences?
