finished its cycle, the compartment where you put the softner is always full of water, so I have to empty the drawer every time I want to use it. This never used to happen. It seems to take the softner and use it during the wash, but just fills itself up with water and doesn't empty.

Anybody know why this is?

Many thanks.

mine does this aswell i find it is to do with the washing machine needing a cleanout and also what fabric softner you use i always find mine clogs up when i use comfort concentrate.

to clean the machine the best cleaner is either http://www.lakelandlimited.co.uk/product.aspx/ !20348

or fresh buster cant remember the name but has a bee on the front its a well known brand found in supermarkets.

also pull the drawer out and clean and powder than has leaked out if it has any there
If you can't sort it out you could use Comfort Pearls which are fabric conditioner capsules that go straight into the machine drum at the start of the cycle and dissolve during the wash. They probably work out more expensive than liquid though.

.....apologies if you already know about them :o)
When you next take the drawer out, take it apart and give it a thorough wash.
Use a pipe cleaner or needle to clean inside any pipes that are clogged.

Use a bottle brush to scrub at the jets at the top of the comparment itself, and as far into the comparment as you can go. Wipe with paper towel.

You will need to do that regularly. If the jets get clogged - and they do - there will not be the force of water needed to push the conditioner through.
